Our cabinet installer had been putting us off for almost two weeks, which really added to the kitchen renovation frustrations. Luckily, after a quick phone call to Lowe’s on Monday, we were given a couple of new installers who were able to come out and start putting our new cabinets in today!
Come to find out from the new installers, our original guy was just “let go” from Lowe’s due to customer complaints and issues with his workers comp insurance. Yikes! As frustrating as it was at the time, I guess it was a blessing in disguise that he didn’t come out to do our job last week as we had originally planned.
Anyway, let’s move on to the new installers who by the way are wonderful! They were here all day and got all of the cabinets secured except for the sink base (more to come on this bump in the road later). The guys are coming back tomorrow to finish up the rest of the job (trims & moldings, securing the sink base, attaching hardware, and taking care of any minor adjustments that need to take place). It was so cool to come home from work today to a kitchen full of cabinets! And even cooler that things seem to be matching up with our plan so well! So, here’s a little teaser of how things look!
Can’t wait to see it all put together with our countertops and appliances installed! I’ll post some completed cabinet pictures in a couple of days! So keep checking back for this update and other renovation-related posts!
